Tutorial Tuesday- Button Bookmarks

button bookmarks

Hello, everyone! Sorry for not posting last week, I’ve had quite a lot of schoolwork lately, anyways, welcome to our first Tutorial Tuesday. Now our library passes out these boring, ugly, plain bookmarks whenever you check out a book. Bookmarks are important, not just for reading, also for notes, and blah, blah. Let’s refer to them as place holders, and they have to be more stable then just sticky-notes.

You will need:

  • hot glue
  • felt
  • fancy buttons (flower shaped, heart shaped, etc.)
  • paperclips (colored or silver)

  • Simply hot glue your paperclip to the back of your button (ask for assistance if needed)
  • Cute a small piece of felt to go on top
  • The felt will keep the glue sealed in and leave a smooth finish.
  • And there you go.

These make great gifts, and you can get creative with all the different tips of buttons and matches you can make. Just slip them onto a card, and voila!

How to be a Celebrity!! *Spoof*

P.S. I added a Status/Mini Twitter on  my widget bar so check that out frequently I’ll be posting cool stuff. 😀

Do you think you need TALENT to be a celebrity? If you did, you’ve got this ALL wrong. Like, seriously? Here, I’ll show you what it really takes.

  • Like, don’t smile. Like, ever. You’re the queen bee. Everyone else? Ahh… like, you are. Why else would you be on the billboard?
  • Always wear sun glasses. No, not to protect your eyes from camera flashes. Just cuz you look fab in them.
  • Always wear over priced clothes. You can even wear fake brands, but be sure to brag about them.
  • Visit the salon twice a day.
  • Don’t keep the same hair color for more than a week. Don’t be ugly.
  • Have a schedule.
  • Don’t watch people you hate on TV.
  • Don’t spend more than 5 seconds PER person per selfie. You’re queen. You don’t have the TIME.
  • Hire someone to do all your work.
  • Hire someone to post amazing stuff and life lessons on your social media.
  • Always take your Photo-shoot Crew everywhere, so they can take a perfect photo at Starbucks, which YOU can pass off as a selfie.
  • Wear a full face of make-up. Even while you’re sleeping.
  • Talk in a loud voice so everyone knows you’re here.
  • Always, and I mean, ALWAYS look like you’re bored. Whenever you have the chance, check your hair obsessively or examine your nails carefully, even though their perfect.
  • Always try to steal the spotlight. Even though it’s always on you!
  • Make up ridiculous rumors so that the room turns to you.
  • Say really French things, so it seems like you’re a classic, or whatever that means.
  • Pay people to watch boring movies and pretend that their your favorite. ex: Titanic. Start crying whenever someone mentions it.
  • Bribe people to follow you on all your social media.
  • Go on random vacations to get in touch with your ‘inner-self’. (Like, whaaat does that even like mean?)
  • Use the words ‘even’, ‘like’, ‘um’, ‘duh” excessively.
  • Have each fake selfie EDITED and FILTERED before you dare post it.
  • Stare in your mirror, daring for imperfections.
  • Have your signature made into a stamp! Makes those boring meet-ups SO much easier! ❤
  • Don’t have a personality. It makes things waaay easier.
  • Have at least 7 private islands to yourself, even though you dislike sand!
  • Take photos in front of a green screen, and pretend you’re getting Vitamin D, but actually just buy those little bottles full of it. Also, use spray-tan.
  • Advertise yourself everywhere.

If you have a proper sense of humor, you’ll see that everything posted is a JOKE! Celebrities aren’t like this! It’s a TOTAL joke post!

I hope you enjoyed this little spoof, that I made up of imaginary celebs!

Glow Jars- DIY Decorations

Autumn is finally here. Get out your warm leg warmers and over-sized sweaters. It’s time.

Today’s project is really, really easy. It’s one of the simplest and cutest DIY Craft’s you can do.

уσυ ωιℓℓ ηєє∂

  • A mason jar
  • Autumn leaves (preferably artificial)
  • burlap twine string

нσω тσ

  1. Inside the mason jar, stick the leaf/leaves on, and store candles inside. If you would like, you can use one of those scented candles from Bath&Body Works, perfectly ones that smell Autumn-y.  That’s what I did.

  2.  Add a burlap twine string around it, tie it in a bow to hold onto the leaf as well. At night, the glow will look really beautiful especially.

ƒαιяιєѕ ιη α נαя

(Mine of course was purple/blue, but in the spirit of autumn, yours can be orange and yellow and red, or just any color you like!)

  1. Cut open a glow-stick and squeeze the contents in a jar.
  2. Add Glitter
  3. Seal the lid

There you go! Two єαѕу ѕιмρℓє αη∂ ¢υтє DIY’s for you to decorate your room with!

Advice+A little shopping…+Thank you

This is rather a post about fashion/life, two things which my blog is based on. Fashion can impact your life, really, if you want it in simple words. Listen to Cinderella- one pair of shoes changed her life. It can change yours too.

Anyway, my last post was all about the latest trends, and a few perfect outfits for school, once it starts, because your first impression, is your last impression, and it’s the first thing newbies will see about you, and if you’re transferring from Pre-K to KG, or from 5th Grade to Middle School, or from 8th Grade to High-school-you still want to look fabulous. Summer is like 3 months when you can give yourself a makeover, change yourself to who you want to be. It’s a time-off from work, not because you’ve been bad, but because you want to be better.

I’m not saying that you’re not perfect the way you are. I’m saying it’s your decision whether or whether not you want you want to improve or change yourself. You don’t have to. You don’t need to improve yourself, because you don’t need improving, but if you want to experiment and try out new looks then you can.

*Note: I know I’ve been updating the blog a few times a week, but do not expect that once school starts, because guess what-I have a life outside of WordPress. I’m a girl who has to balance her blogging time and her stuDYING time as well. See what I did there?

That was a nice pep-talk. Now, on to my shopping trip.

Today I went back-to-school shopping with a couple of friends and honestly, most of the things I bought were wintery and floral, no lie. AND for PE, I got a really pretty zebra print design shirt at H&M, and by zebra print I mean the design, not the colors. The color was black with gray. Pretty exciting, eh? Now I can sweat-and look great doing it.

I got some peter-pan collared t-shirts, looked around Bath&Body Works. It’s amazing. I ♥ B&BW. And of course, I visited Forever21, because who could resist? It’s amazing. I also got some designing supplies for my notebooks, and such. I’ll be doing a tutorial soon on how to use them to bring some pizzaz to your notebooks and planners and lockers and stuff.

And last of all-

I want to thank all my followers and all my other viewers. To my followers: I don’t know what it is that made you follow me-but I’m glad you did, and thank you.

It’s thanks to you I’ve continued blogging. I have many reasons, but two big ones- 1. I know that people see this, and that I’m making an impact, which is a huge thing. It matters a lot to me, that people are learning from my blog, and that they enjoy it enough to subscribe/follow me. 2. I love to blog. Creativity is my thing, you know. I love creative writing, and blogging is a big part of it. You know, I had been thinking about building a blog for about 2-3 years, before I finally created one, and I’m very lucky to have such great viewers who support me.

In just five days I got OVER 200 hundred views, and that means a lot to me. So, thank you, all. If you’re reading this, then you are supporting me.
